I’m not crazy about this Hyundai dealership in Santa Monica. I always feel they are trying to rip me off. My recent experience was not that great. I brought the in the car for routine maintenance and because I was having a problem with the charger door popping open while I was driving. They could not fix the problem with the door and told me everything was normal. This visit for routine maintenance and to diagnose my β€œnon-existent” problem cost $1000! Also, included in this maintenance was a wheel alignment, which this Hyundai completely botched. The car had a spot on alignment before I brought it in. After their whole tire rotation and alignment the steering wheel is totally off center and the car pulls to the right. They do shoddy work! Also, there is hardly any air conditioning in the service waiting room. I almost passed out in there! I felt totally dizzy. Do yourself a favor and skip Hyundai Santa Monica. Maybe some if the other Hyundai dealerships around the LA area are better?

I had come in a few days ago after my sibling spoke w/ Hyundai America about taking care of a safety recall and investigating a previous recall where some work wasn't properly completed re-creating a re-occuring problem. The person corporate told my to book with wasn't there, so we spoke w/another individual. That individual said a part would arrive friday and we are to come back in Saturday at 9am. Well, I arrived under the assumption all these information and details they're aware of. I get there Saturday at 8:50am, 4 people ahead of me, and the advisor I was booked for was inside. Thinking the advisors new why I was there, I reminded the advisor why I was there, she had no clue. Then she mentioned I declined to have work done to light bulbs. Then said, at the time of the decline she wasn't there. I mentioned to her it should be documented that there was an underlying component cause the light bulbs to go out and I had spoke to Hyundai america and its suppose to get looked into at no cost. (Mind you, my sibling spoke w/and advisor a couple of days before Saturday). The other advisor my sibling spoke w/ said to her, "remember what I told you about?" She said, "all I know is yo

Had a great experience with Alex. He was very communicative and very formal. Unfortunately an infotainment software upgrade that was suppose to take one day took 7 but that was not Alex’s fault. He kept me informed the whole way through either via text or call.

Customer Service Rep Alex was fantastic during the entire process. Great communication throughout, which is key for me. He got me a loaner as soon as it became available, which really made the process so easy for me and my family. When I returned the loaner he made the process fast, efficient and explained the work done on my vehicle while it was in the shop. Very satisfied with Alex and the folks at Hyundai Santa Monica.

Fast service but they did the very minimum. I had a brake light out and they didn't diagnose it. Also their shuttle service only goes 5 miles in one trip, not very great to get to work or home. Had to book another uber with my own money to get to work. They also said I needed to replace my air filters after detecting an HVAC odor, even though I just recently replaced my own filters. I marked my tires to ensure they did the rotation and they did good there. Overall not horrible but didn't feel like they wanted to make sure my car was good.
